Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and mathematics learning achievement of students at SDN 50 Bonto Panno, Pangkep Regency. The background of this study is based on the fact that many students experience difficulties in learning mathematics not only due to cognitive abilities, but also due to psychological factors such as self-confidence in their own abilities (self-efficacy). The type of research used is a quantitative correlational study involving 40 students as respondents. Data were obtained through a self-efficacy questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability as well as mathematics learning achievement scores from the results of the evaluation of the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data analysis was carried out using normality tests, linearity tests, and Pearson correlation tests using statistical software. The results of the study showed a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and students' mathematics learning achievement (r = 0.61; p < 0.05). This means that the higher a student's self-efficacy, the higher their mathematics learning achievement. Therefore, increasing self-efficacy through learning strategies that support self-confidence can be an important factor in improving mathematics learning outcomes.
