RIVER CURRENT POWER GENERATION DEVICE MODEL (Case Study of Lagan River Current, East Tanajab Regency)

This research is motivated by the fact that the utilization of river currents for Hydroelectric Power Plants (PLTA) has a number of advantages in providing renewable energy in Indonesia, especially in Jambi province. The purpose of this study is to find a model for utilizing Lagan river currents as a river current power plant. The method used is engineering techniques or design of power generation equipment. The results obtained are that the vertical current turbine model can be used as a power generation tool for Lagan river currents in Lagan village, East Tanjungjabung district.
