Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes in Economics subjects in class XI SMAN 10 Kota Jambi who are taught using the Structured Numbered Heads cooperative learning model and the pair exchange type. This study uses an experimental method, in simple terms, experimental research seeks the effect of a given treatment. The population in the study was 108 people. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling, so that 40 students of class XI IPS 1 were selected as the control class and 35 students of class XI IPS 3 as the experimental class. The results of the study showed that student learning outcomes in Economics subjects taught using the pair exchange cooperative learning model were higher than student learning outcomes in Economics subjects taught using the Structured Numbered Heads cooperative learning model, with Sig. 0.000 <0.05. Students are expected to be able to play an active role in the learning process. By being actively involved in the learning process, it can increase positive learning attitudes, so that learning outcomes increase.
