Abstract

This study aims to describe the Ethical Values ​​in the Book of Folk Tales from Jambi 2 by Kaslani which refers to the ethics of human relations with society consisting of the ethics of mutual assistance, ethics of compassion, ethics of tolerance, and ethics of responsibility. This study is a type of descriptive research that is qualitative. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the ethical values ​​contained in the Book of Folk Tales from Jambi 2 by Kaslani which are studied in terms of human relations with society include the ethics of mutual assistance, ethics of compassion, ethics of tolerance, and ethics of responsibility where all of this is also reinforced by the presentation of dialogues and monologues. Then in the Book of Folk Tales from Jambi 2 by Kaslani there are 88 quotes, namely the ethical value of mutual assistance 15 quotes, ethics of compassion 17 quotes, ethics of tolerance 35 quotes, and ethics of responsibility 21 quotes.
